Best Practice: Communication Committee Streamlining

Chapter: NAWBO Louisville

Contact: Tricia Burke, triciaburke@becoffice.com

Goal: To make NAWBO Louisville’s communications area more efficient, one person was appointed as the key contact.

Implementation: At NAWBO Louisville, all of the chapter’s communication was put under one large umbrella. In order for the new organizational chart to run smoothly, one person was put in charge of juggling the newsletters, brochures, e-newsletters, event information, and press releases. She also became the main connection to the printing company. This change drastically streamlined their organization and made it more productive.

Results: As a result of having one key contact, communication duplication has been reduced. There is now one central and consistent message throughout the chapter that highlights events, business news, NAWBO members, and individual success.
